Success for Cambodian athletes!!🎽

Did you watch the Paralympics? Cambodian athletes not only represented in the Olympics but also in the Paralympics.
Van Vun, who participated in the men’s 100-meter track and field team set his personal best in qualifying in 2nd place! Even in the final, he set a new personal best and achieved a feat of 7th place👏
In Pursat, an organization TukTuk has been working with for 4 years, DDSP, helps people with disabilities. Next year, working with DDSP, we plan to incorporate disability and equality teaching materials in the digital library to promote that everyone has their own skill. Until then, well done to all the athletes that participated this year in the paralympics.

YouTube videos are taking off!🎥

Did you know that there's a TukTuk YouTube channel?
Among the resources we have released on Youtube are;
- Animations of our original TukBooks.
- Videos explaining how to do activities and worksheets from our digital library
- Music videos of TukTuk original songs,
- Puppet shows ; and
- Music videos made by TukTuk for the government kindergarten songs
Recently, we have ramped up our posting to improve engagement so why not pop on over and check it out. Sure it is in Khmer but maybe you will pick up a few words 😂
You can check out from here! Don’t forget to subscribe👍
Would you like to see our animation?💻

TukTuk has completed five Tukbooks so far. They are available in multiple sizes and formats to ensure there is a version for everyone. You can print them yourself in A4 size (color and B&W), Kamishibai (a Japanese style story theater where the words are on the back of the pages) and digital versions optimised for smartphones and tablets.
AND guess what... We even have some English versions so you can check them out with your own kids or even for an easy watch during lockdown. You can find the English version introduced on YouTube - 'Teeny Tiny Monsters' and 'What Are You Good At?' Animation and voiceovers were completed by Voluntukers Jessica and Emily!
Thanks so much to Jess and Emily and all our wonderful Voluntukers that make these projects a success 🥰
Khmer of the month
Khmer Word: Phlieng Khlang Nas
Cambodia's rainy season began at the end of May, and even in Pursat province where Tuk Tuks operates, it is raining 🐈 and 🐶! This sentence is handy in the rainy season. 'Phlieng' (pronounced Ple-ang) is 'Rain', 'Khlang Nas' is 'Strong' so the word means 'heavy rain'. Even as I write this newsletter, it's still 'Phlieng Khlang Nas'! 😲
Khmer Food: Nom Tnaot (Palm cake)👇

CLIP project extended to CLIP2!🎊

The CLIP project started in January this year with a one-year schedule. Due to the pandemic, activities such as meetings and events are still restricted. The kindergarten has not been reopened yet and many teachers still hand out worksheets...
We were wondering if the CLIP project would end ... However, thanks to the hard work of the Rotary Club of Calgary and the Rotary Club of Pursat, we'll be able to continue for two more years in 2022 and 23!
We realized once again that TukTuk has been able to go ahead thanks to the many TukTuk Krousah members, including Rotary Club. Thank you very much, everyone!
From next year, we plan on increasing our target schools by 5 and working with teachers of 13 schools. ! We just hope we can get face time during the school year...!!🤞
