Sala Rean Sabey – September Screening Highlights
Two screenings were completed at private schools in September - Episode 19 (Family) on 15 September and Episode 14 (Friends) on 17 September - giving the team structured feedback from children and teachers before wider release.
- Episode 19: children were most engaged by songs, humorous moments, the Special Window and hands-on activities. They remembered the activities afterwards, but most still needed adult explanation or demonstration to complete them.
- Episode 14: overall viewing attention was strong, especially during the Alphabet Song, story, games and active/visual sections. However, active participation remained much lower than attention.
- A common pattern across both screenings was that children re-engaged quickly when there was music, movement, a game, puppets, visible action or children on screen. Attention tended to drop during long presenter talk, slower sections or unclear transitions.
- Feedback also showed that younger children needed more support with structured and fine-motor activities such as cutting, folding and using chopsticks. The strongest direction for revision is shorter and more direct presenter language, clearer invitations to participate, clearer transitions, better audio/sound consistency and simpler support for younger children.
- An especially encouraging teacher observation came from Episode 19. Teachers noticed that when Fy and Choven made small, natural mistakes, they laughed, recovered and continued. They felt this showed children that mistakes are okay and that learning is about trying, adapting and continuing rather than being perfect. This was particularly meaningful because it reflects a core message R4C intentionally wants Sala Rean Sabey to communicate, yet the teachers identified it independently without being prompted.
- The team acted on the feedback immediately, including re-shooting Episode 14 and using the screening findings to guide editing of future episodes.
Key Progress to Highlight to Rotary
- Teacher leadership is strengthening: CLIP4 is increasingly working through teachers as peer leaders, not only as training participants.
- Technical Meetings are extending the project beyond the original target teachers and creating wider peer-learning networks across the clusters.
- Workshop 2 confirmed that practical, visual and classroom-ready approaches are valued, while digital confidence still needs continued support.
- Sala Rean Sabey reached the classroom-testing stage. The screenings both guided concrete revisions and confirmed that the program’s intended message - that learning can be playful, imperfect and process-focused - is coming through naturally.
- R4C’s digital audience continued to expand across Facebook, the Teachers Group, Telegram and YouTube during Q3.
Talo District – Project Adjustment Agreed with Rotary
On 9 September 2026, R4C visited the newly established Talo District to formally introduce CLIP4 to the District Governor and District Hall. The authorities asked R4C to confirm its registration with the Ministry of Interior and its non-profit status.
- From November, Talo’s current single Technical Meeting cluster will be divided into two. Both existing CLIP4 target teachers are from the same cluster, so the new cluster would otherwise have no CLIP4 leader teacher.
- The Education Office requested that CLIP4 include one teacher from the new cluster. At the Rotary meeting on 16 September, Rotary and R4C agreed to support one additional teacher in 2027 by reallocating funds within the existing CLIP4 budget.
- The kindergarten in the new cluster has just been recognized as an independent kindergarten and separated from its primary school for the new school year. Because the principal also teaches a class, one teacher will be invited to CLIP4 workshops and meetings.
- R4C will provide the new participant with the same core project materials already provided to other CLIP4 teachers, so that the second Talo cluster can participate on an equal basis.
Next Steps for October – December 2026
- Continue editing and re-shooting (when necessary) Sala Rean Sabey based on the September screening feedback, while preparing additional episodes and Special Window segments.
- Conduct the annual survey so CLIP4 progress can be compared with the baseline survey and shared at the Annual Meeting.
- Continue creating, editing and uploading teaching resources to the Digital Library, including activity instructions, craft videos and updated storybook formats.
- Continue developing the AI-supported search function with Reach and improve internal workflow and organization for resource production.
- Continue development of new storybooks and prepare Workshop 3 materials.
- Prepare for and hold the CLIP4 Annual Meeting and Workshop 3, including invitations, survey results, presentations and discussion of priorities for 2027.
