Happy (belated) Valentine's Day. Sending this TukTalk with a lot of love ❤
The holiday of romance gets more popular every year in Cambodia, with roses on the street, love hearts galore, and increasing numbers of men in ironed shirts, Valentines is making its mark.
We celebrated by sharing some banana bread in the office (who said romance is dead?).

KAMISHIBAI TIMES THREE 📚
Our wonderful illustrator Choven has now completed her third TukBook. As quick as she could utter "finished", we fired up the printer and started production on Kamishibais for every classroom we work with. Yep. Every classroom is getting three TukBook Kamishibaias. We're feeling proud.
A huge thanks to the Rotary Club of Calgary for supporting this project. Also Rotary Driene, and Lions club of Hengeloabo for printing. You guys rock.

TUKTUK RECORDS 🎶
Everybody loves the Choo Choo Wah. Our volunteers and loyal patrons Jacques and Margriet brought this little number to TukTuk Theatre this month. With some slick dance moves to accompany. The song was introduced to accompany "Body Part Lessons".
Phan Ey, our music master, has been whipping up Khmer versions of children's songs non-stop, including TukTuk's edition of "Choo Choo Wah". Next up, the world-famous "Hokey Pokey". Slip-on your dancing flip-flops and get ready.

KHMER OF THE MONTH
Khmer Word: Khnhom sralanh anak
February is a month of love, so here it is. "Khnhom=I", "sralanh=love" and "anak=you". You can use this "I love you" between couples, family, friends and beyond.

PRAISE TO SARIN 🛠
Not one, not two, but three preschools speaker systems installed in January by this lovely man above.
Sarin is TukTuk's driver but has been eagerly advancing his skills across the charity. Before joining TukTuk Sarin studied to become an electrician. Sadly though, his school was shut down before he could finish his certificate. Learning this, we've been getting Sarin involved in our technical work, like setting up classroom music systems. Eventually, we hope Sarin can lead the way in installing all future AccessBoxes. Sarin, you're a keeper.
VOLUNTUKER SPOTLIGHT | JACQUES & MARGRIET 🙌
Jacques and Margriet had their second visit to TukTuk. And they brought a plane full of donations with them (KLM even gave them free checked-in luggage).
They created lessons about "Body Parts" and "Shapes" by introducing many fun new books, songs and activities. Also, we were honoured they chose Pursat to spend their 50th wedding anniversary. They are our new role models.
We also want to thank them for doing so much fundraising. They rallied their troops and made a big difference. An additional thanks to Rotary Driene, Lions Hengelo, Rabobank Cenbraal Twente, Fondsenbeheer Gehandicapten in Hengelo and all the family and friends of Jacques and Margriet for the kind donations.
We are currently looking for volunteers with the following skill sets to help TukTuk bring educational resources to Cambodia;
If you want to get involved or know someone with skills that could help us spread positive education in Cambodia, hit that link below and say hi (we're friendly, promise).
